What is B2 level English?
What is B2 level English?
In The Common European Framework for Languages (CEFR), a person has language ability from A1-A2 (beginner), B1-B2 (intermediate) and C1-C2 (advanced/fluent). The B2 level in English is an intermediate level which is an ideal foundation for a professional career.
A person with B2 level can speak confident English on a variety of topics. With B2 level you can:
- Have fluid conversations about personal and professional life
- Understand the ideas of complex texts and visual media.
- Read and write texts with a broad level of vocabulary and autonomy.
- Talk about preferences, real and hypothetical situations, and make recommendations.
In the world today, B2 level is an ideal professional standard for language ability. While not completely “fluent,” a B2 level is sufficient to effectively communicate a wide range of ideas both at work and in daily life.
