What is A2 level English?
The A2 level in English is a beginning level. In the Common European Framework for Languages (CEFR) a person has language ability from A1-A2 (beginner), B1-B2 (intermediate) and C1-C2 (advanced/fluent). A person with A2 level can speak basic English with essential vocabulary and grammar. With A2 level you can:• Understand simple language about personal life, family, work and hobbies.
- Speak slowly and clearly.
- Read short, simple texts and write short, simple messages.
- Make practical sentences like ordering food in a restaurant.
With A2 you won’t speak perfectly, of course, but you will build a foundation to learn more!
